Our ministry partner Denise Carlson is nothing short of a hero. She is a woman from Orange County who was moved with compassion to action, becoming a full time missionary on the border of Uganda and South Sudan. Her mission is reaching hurting and unreached people within the 10/40 window. What is the 10/40 window? Most of the people groups still unreached by the gospel live in places stretching across the maps of northern Africa and Asia. Christian missions strategist Luis Bush started calling this rectangular area or band: "the 10/40 window." He used that easy-to-remember name because it lies across Africa and Asia from 10 degrees latitude north of the equator to 40 degrees latitude north of the equator.
After visiting people groups in crisis and pain throughout the 10/40 window, she made the decision to let go of her life in Orange County and live full time as a missionary reaching out to these people groups with the gospel. She regularly provides trauma counseling, pastoral trainings, church planting resources, support and love to the ocean of refugees that surrounds the missions base where she lives. Her life is full time devoted to reaching, loving and serving those in need within the 10/40 window. She currently lives on the boarder of Uganda and South Sudan. Join us in partnership and prayer for this beautiful hero!
